Penny M. Thompson

Penny M. Thompson, CPC, serves as a Halley Consulting Network Executive.  Her tenure in healthcare dates back to 1990.  Penny’s most recent role was as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for a large and growing hospital-owned multi-specialty practice network on the east coast.  Penny has hands-on experience managing: medical practices in multiple locations, outpatient hospital billing, medical coding and documentation, physician recruitment and onboarding, Electronic Medical Record implementation in a multi-specialty network, and physician compensation models.  Her career successes have included the development and implementation of a support infrastructure for an expanding hospital-owned multi-specialty network in an extremely competitive marketplace. In addition to this she successfully recovered hundreds of thousands of dollars in accounts receivables for independent multi-physician specialty practices, and, successfully acquired consecutive AAAHC accreditations for a busy endoscopy center.  (The final accreditation was given a perfect score!)
