Katrina Slavey

Katrina Slavey serves as a Network Executive for Halley Consulting. Katy’s healthcare career spans over 20 years and she frequently serves as the interim executive of hospital-owned medical practices. While serving as interim Vice President for a Florida-based network of 85 physicians, she reduced practice losses by more than $2 million, increased point-of-service collections by 15% and reduced held claims by $1 million. While acting as Interim COO in Virginia for a 100-physician hospital-owned multi-specialty network, Katy decreased referral leakage by 20% while increasing referrals from primary care physicians by 12%. During this engagement, she also increased same-store primary care visit volume by 12% and same-store specialty wRVUs by 8%. Katy has served as the Director of Regional Operations for a 28-physician, multi-specialty hospital-owned network. During her tenure, she developed and implemented key strategic initiatives, driving operational improvements at all levels from finance to employee motivation. She also successfully transitioned the practice network to a new billing platform, greatly increasing revenue cycle effectiveness, and established an incentive program that improved point-of-service cash collections. She is experienced in all facets of new practice start-up, including physician credentialing and hiring of staff. Katy has also implemented electronic medical records, created new organizational models and coached new practice executives. Katy is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree at the University of Richmond.
