Successful 2010 Promotes Growth for Halley Consulting Group

Physician practice management consulting firm adds two executives to growing team


December 16, 2010 – COLUMBUS, Ohio – Closing out a successful 2010, Halley Consulting Group – a national physician practice management and consulting firm – hires Tom Shroeder, Western regional sales executive, and Christopher Hicks, practice consultant. One quarter of the firm’s employees, five of the 21, have been hired in the past year alone.

Leading the business development in the Western region, Shroeder brings more than 20 years of experience in sales and marketing to the Halley Consulting Group team. He has strong expertise in territory management, prospecting and strategic sales processes that will help to grow the consulting group’s business in 2011.

Shroeder has gained sales experience working for industry leading companies, such as: US West Direct Yellow Pages, Xerox Corporation, Verizon Information Services, Gartner, Inc. and Denials Management, where he served as director of healthcare sales and marketing. He has a record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals within each of these organizations. Shroeder is a resident of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Hicks, a resident of Buckley, Mich., is a 15-plus year veteran of the healthcare industry, with a rich background in the financial and IT sectors. He joins the staff as a practice consultant. He has a solid background in revenue cycle management – managing and directing both application and system implementations as well as process improvement initiatives throughout the revenue cycle.

Prior to joining Halley Consulting Group, Hicks spent 10 years with Trinity Health in Cadillac and Grayling, Mich., serving as patient financial services systems analyst and business office manager as well as a financial analyst. He also has worked for Mercy Information Systems and Mercy Hospital, both located in Cadillac, Mich.
