The Halley Consulting Group, LLC. is a physician practice management and consulting firm specializing in the development and performance turnaround of both hospital-owned and physician-owned practices and practice networks.  The firm was originally organized in 1991 to serve a division of Holy Cross Health System. 

In 1995, we restructured to become Ambulatory Management Services (AMS), Inc. and were charged with meeting the needs of Holy Cross Health System member hospitals on a national level.  Following the merger of Holy Cross Health System Corporation and Mercy Health Services in 2000, AMS became a wholly owned for-profit subsidiary of Trinity Health, Novi, Michigan.  In 2005, AMS became The Halley Consulting Group, a privately held company.  Halley Consulting Group is headquartered in Westerville, Ohio.

Our clients include a number of hospitals both internal and external to the Trinity Health system, as well as private practice physicians.  We provide our services under traditional consulting arrangements and management contracts. 

In order to serve our growing client base, our consultants and management professionals are based in Ohio, Indiana, Utah and Florida. We have served physician groups as small as ten providers and as large as 165 providers all across the United States.  Our primary care database includes more than 500 providers who use the Halley Consulting financial and statistical model as the basis for their management information.  Our team members have authored several articles regarding primary care practice strategy and performance improvement which have been published in nationally-recognized trade publications.
